Raising the Profile of LGB & T
Submitted by Bobbie on Wed 7-May-2014 14:34Project coming along nicely now. We have got both of our surveys up and running ready for before and after the users have gone through the elearning training.
We are now in a position for IT Support to install our eLearning software on computers that students can access, so they can update the learning materials and make them more suitable as student learning materials.
See our project web page for the front page of our eLearning materials.

Raising the profile of LGBT - Project update
Submitted by Bobbie on Tue 29-Apr-2014 15:47Back at it hard after a break. Project going really well 3 out of 4 sections completed, staff section nearly ready for release but still not got students available developing their version of our LGB & T eLearning training material.
It's been interesting researching materials to use, there is much more out there than we ever imagined although it is quite well hidden at first.
Raising the profile of LGBT - Project update
Submitted by Bobbie on Mon 17-Mar-2014 16:22I have nearly finished the Introduction for the eLearning course, although it is amazing how long it takes to get things working properly, I never imagined it would take so long to create and edit a video using videoscribe! Got lots of resources now particularly for Transgenderdefinition, thanks to the help of the forum and Blog.

Raising the profile of LGBT at Sussex Coast College
Submitted by Bobbie on Thu 13-Feb-2014 11:07Today we are celebrating LGBT in the college. We are asking staff and students to dress in rainbow colours and having a cake and sweet stall to raise awareness for LGBT groups of people in the college. We have rainbow flags and displays of posters and books in both the learning resource centres and a slide show of LGBT quotes and rainbow designs on the media boards and around the college during February LGBT history month.
It's great too that we can celebrate the posthumous pardon of the great mathematician and computer wizard (and enigma code breaker for WWII ) Alan Turing, who lived most of his young life in Hastings. We are naming our new Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) TURING and the road to one of Susex Coast College Campus is called Turing Way, in his honour.
